Owner Client and Industry Group Discussions
Master Service Agreement (MSA) Process – Mike Lennox – Apache Canada
Mike shared with the group how Apache Canada is utilizing ISNetworld in their internal Master Service Agreement (MSA) process. The process detailed how Apache Canada proceeds from selecting a contractor to evaluating them in ISNetworld and uploading the active Master Service Agreement (MSA) to their ISNetworld account once finalized. Mike also discussed how the MSA status effects a contractors overall Dashboard grade for their company in Apache’s evaluation process.
Workplace Alberta Update – Lena Cimmarrusti – Workplace Alberta
Lena gave the entire group an update on the current initiatives and future plans for Workplace Alberta, the Partnership and the Certificate of Recognition (COR) program. Lena also discussed how Workplace Alberta has approved and is currently executing their new strategic plan for the Partnership. New practices will focus on ensuring program credibility, targeting high injury work sites, increasing program promotion and adding flexibility and accessibility. Workplace Alberta is utilizing several quality assurance plans, new programs and policies, increased standards and on-site audits to help achieve their goals in their new strategic plan.
Husky Quality Assurance/Quality Control Update – Beverly Soloman – Husky Energy
Husky Energy is one of the pioneers in Canada facilitating the use of ISNetworld for tracking and verifying Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) for suppliers. Beverly discussed in detail how Husky has integrated ISNetworld into their internal processes to gather subjective assessments and supporting documentation on QA/QC plans and processes for suppliers. She also discussed the additional functionality being developed to create and track non-conformance reports per individual contractors/suppliers. Beverly and the Husky Team invite any Owner Clients interested in hearing and/or discussing their current QA/QC processes regarding ISNetworld to contact them directly.
Open Discussions
Further discussions surrounded Owner Client interest in developing a SmartLog Tool for Canadian contractors within ISNetworld. This proposed OH&S SmartLog Tool would give Canadian contractors the ability to track and maintain their OH&S statistical information within ISNetworld. This is a tool that has been developed for US contractors to maintain their OSHA Logs. Those in attendance agreed that this functionality would be a benefit to contractors in Canada. There were multiple questions on what type of standardized or common form could be used to combine and display this information. Additional reporting features for the Contractor Action Item tracking tool were also discussed.
The ISNetworld team would also like to organize an Owner Client Roundtable focused on Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC). Any Owner Clients interested in either hosting or attending such a meeting should contact the ISNetworld team to schedule a meeting in the near future.
Once again, the ISNetworld Team would like to thank everyone for their participation and continued support. We look forward to continued success in future meetings. Please check your email and the ISNetworld Homepage for information on upcoming ISNetworld Meetings.
