RPS MetOcean is committed to providing a safe and healthy work place for all staff and subcontractors. To achieve this commitment, RPS MetOcean has implemented a comprehensive and proactive occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management System which includes accident prevention, hazard control and removal, health preservation, the promotion of well being of staff, and the protection of the environment.

The RPS MetOcean Management Team is ultimately responsible for health and safety within the working environment. However, all staff are expected to actively encourage the creation of a safe and healthy work place, as well as observe the established work practices and policies designed to minimise accidents and injury. The RPS MetOcean Management Team also seeks to encourage the same attitudes in the home environment.

RPS MetOcean Management recognises the need for continuous improvement in regard to health and safety. This is achieved through active promotion of Health and Safety by Management, an energetic Health and Safety Committee and encouragement of Incident and Hazard report writing by employees at all levels.

RPS MetOcean’s ultimate goal is zero Lost Time Injuries and zero environmental incidents.

RPS MetOcean Pty Ltd's Use of ISNetworld

Earlier this year RPS MetOcean decided to invest in a contractor subscription with ISNetworld. In just six months, they have already seen a large return on this investment. “The resources and feedback provided through the RAVS Safety Program Review Process has already made our subscription fee worthwhile,” Richard Lailey, HSE Manager, RPS MetOcean Pty Ltd.

As ISNetworld expands throughout Australia, and more Owner Clients use the system, RPS MetOcean’s  return on investment will continue to increase. With this expansion, ISNetworld will reduce the administrative burden of the contractor prequalification process and offer marketing exposure for RPS MetOcean to all ISNetworld Owner Clients. “It is our hope that eventually all of our clients will eliminate individual pre-qualification forms and choose to utilise the ISNetworld database,” Richard Lailey.
