Safety Training & Program Development
Newsco has implemented OHS training to cover a variety of requirements as noted by its COR Audits, maintaining an average score above 90% for the last two years running. Newsco is a leader in its Competency based training program. Oil companies, the ultimate clients of directional services, ask hard questions about how well the company’s ability to document the abilities of its operators.  In a relatively straight forward drilling situation, references provide credibility but many jobs require specialized training in off-shore, under balanced and special conditions, where verification of skills is necessary. Newsco’s advantage is evidenced by the Newsco Safety Orientation program RIGPASS® through IADC, which closely mirrors the requirements in IRP16, and in most cases exceeds those requirements as well. Newsco is a member of ISNetworld that provides system capability to house and manage these employee trainings in a tool called Training Manager.  Training manager aids in the efficient process of tracking training scheduling, which is a key factor in staying focused and maintaining high industry standards.
